Invisalign

Invisalign is a new and powerful technology aimed at straightening teeth. The new method can be used as a replacement to traditional braces and is unique because Invisalign aligners are transparent and barely noticeable as opposed to the traditional metal braces that are hated by many because of their aesthetically unpleasant appearance. Moreover, according to the patients, Invisalign aligners cause much less irritation to the gums and discomfort than metal braces. The effectiveness of the treatment depends a lot on the patient’s dedication, since Invisalign aligners must strictly be worn 20-22 hours a day. However, they can be removed while eating or brushing teeth and are therefore much easier to maintain than traditional braces.  The treatment normally takes from 6 to 18 months.

Invisalign is suitable in most uncomplicated orthodontic problems. They are changed by the dentist every two weeks, allowing the teeth to gradually move into the desired position over time. Wearing the aligners might be unpleasant at first, but once the patient gets used to the aligners, they are seen as much more comfortable and less irritating than traditional metal braces. Invisalign aligners are designed using a computerised 3D technology, which allows the braces to precisely match the shape of the patient’s teeth.

Depending on the complexity of the required treatment as well as the reputation of the clinic and the dentist, Invisalign aligners are likely to cost anywhere between £3000.00 and £6000.
